Terms of use
Last updated: 24 August 2026. Access to this site is subject to these terms.
1. Eligibility
This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at minors, and access by anyone under 18 is not permitted.
2. Licence to use the material
Material published on this site is provided for personal, non-commercial reading. A limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence is granted for that purpose. Redistribution, republication, systematic copying, resale, and use of the material to train automated systems require prior written permission.
3. Intellectual property
Text, layout, code, and the wordmark on this site are the property of Halden Quarterly or are used with permission. Cited research remains the property of its authors and publishers; references appear here for identification and attribution under applicable exceptions.
4. No professional relationship
Reading this site, corresponding with the support address, or purchasing material does not create a professional, clinical, advisory, or fiduciary relationship of any kind. The publisher is not a provider of therapy, counselling, medical, psychological, legal, or financial services, and holds no such relationship with any reader.
5. No claim of results
Material on this site is descriptive reporting of published research. No outcome, change, benefit, or result is promised, assured, or predicted, and nothing on this site should be read as an undertaking that any particular consequence will follow from reading it.
6. Accuracy and availability
Reasonable care is taken to describe research accurately, and identified errors are corrected under the published corrections policy. The material is nonetheless provided as it stands, without warranty that it is complete, current, or free of error. Access to the site may be interrupted, suspended, or discontinued without notice.
7. Purchases and payment disputes
Where paid material is offered, the price, currency, and description are shown before purchase, and payment is processed by a third-party payment provider under its own terms. Refunds are handled under the refund policy. A dispute over a charge should be raised at support@haldenquarterly.site first, so that it can be resolved directly; chargebacks filed without prior contact may delay resolution. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in access being withdrawn.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Halden Quarterly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including consumer rights under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The revision date at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect, and continued use of the site after that date is subject to the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes are subject to the Brazilian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in the consumer's country of residence.
