Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026. This policy explains what personal data Halden Quarterly processes, on what legal basis, for how long, and what rights apply.
Controller
The controller of personal data processed through this site is Halden Quarterly, an independent publisher operating from Brazil. All privacy correspondence is handled at support@haldenquarterly.site. No physical address is maintained for public correspondence.
What data is processed
- Correspondence data. The email address and message content of anyone who writes to the support address.
- Transaction data. Where a purchase is made, the name, email address, and order reference supplied at checkout. Card details are not received, stored, or accessible to this publisher; they are handled by the payment processor.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, collected automatically by analytics and advertising technologies.
Legal bases
Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Law 13.709/2018) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679), processing rests on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract — processing transaction data to deliver a purchase and administer refunds.
- Legitimate interests — responding to correspondence, maintaining site security, and measuring aggregate traffic. These interests are balanced against the rights of the data subject and processing is limited to what the purpose requires.
- Consent — non-essential cookies and advertising measurement, where consent is required by the applicable law. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by writing to the support address.
- Legal obligation — retention of transaction records where tax and commercial law requires it.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses cookies and comparable technologies in two categories. Essential cookies support page delivery and security and cannot be disabled without affecting site operation. Analytics and advertising cookies, including tags operated by advertising platforms, measure traffic and the performance of advertisements. Browser settings can be used to block or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from functioning.
Sharing
Personal data is shared only with processors that support the operation of the site: hosting and content delivery, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics and advertising platforms. Personal data is not sold. It is disclosed to authorities only where a valid legal obligation requires it.
International transfer
Service providers used by this publisher are located outside Brazil, including in the United States and the European Union. Transfers are made under the safeguards permitted by Article 33 of the LGPD and, for transfers from the European Economic Area, under standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Retention
- Correspondence: retained for 24 months from the last message in the exchange, then deleted.
- Transaction records: retained for 5 years, as required for tax and commercial record-keeping.
- Technical and analytics data: retained for 14 months, then deleted or aggregated beyond identification.
Rights
Data subjects may request confirmation of processing, access to their data, correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, anonymisation or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent. Under the GDPR, rights to restriction of processing and to object to processing based on legitimate interests also apply. Requests are sent to support@haldenquarterly.site and answered within 15 days under the LGPD, or within one month where the GDPR applies.
Complaints
A complaint about the handling of personal data may be lodged with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD) in Brazil, or with the competent supervisory authority in the relevant EU or EEA member state.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and does not knowingly process the personal data of minors. Where such data is identified, it is deleted.
