About Halden Quarterly
An independent publisher covering one research area: attachment in adult life, from the instruments used to measure it to the longitudinal work on how measurements change.
Who publishes this
Halden Quarterly is published by a small independent editorial team based in Brazil. It has no institutional affiliation, no university host, and no relationship with any of the researchers whose work it covers. It operates by email correspondence and maintains no public office.
How topics are chosen
Articles are commissioned around a specific published finding or a specific measurement problem, not around a general theme. A topic qualifies when there is a body of peer-reviewed work substantial enough to describe accurately, and when there is a methodological dispute worth setting out. Topics where the literature consists of a single unreplicated study are not covered, except where the article is explicitly about that fact.
How sources are cited
Every article names the researchers, the year, and where relevant the journal. Findings are described in terms of what was measured and in what sample. Where a result is contested, the dispute is described in the same passage as the result — not relegated to a footnote or omitted. Numbers are reported only where the underlying source has been checked; where a figure could not be verified, the article describes the direction of a finding rather than quoting a value.

How this publisher advertises
Halden Quarterly runs paid advertising on social platforms. Two commitments govern how those advertisements are written.
First, advertisements describe what an article contains. They do not assert, imply, or ask about the situation, relationship status, history, or characteristics of the person seeing them. The copy in an advertisement describes research, in the same third-person register used across this site.
Second, the destination matches the advertisement. An advertisement referring to an article links to that article. Advertising material and landing page are written together so that the page a reader arrives at is the page the advertisement described.
Corrections
Errors of fact, misattributed findings, and incorrect citations are corrected at the point of error, with a dated note appended to the article. Corrections are also listed on the standards page. Reports of an error can be sent to support@haldenquarterly.site.
Commercial disclosure
Halden Quarterly is a commercial publisher. The library articles listed on this site are published in full at no cost. Where paid material is offered, the offer is presented separately from editorial content, is marked as such, and is covered by the refund policy. No editorial coverage on this site is sold, sponsored, or influenced by a commercial arrangement.
